1. What inspired you to start this project? (시작 계기) "The inspiration came from a simple observation: journaling is powerful, but staring at a blank page is intimidating. Many people start a diary with high hopes but give up because it feels like a lonely chore. I wanted to create an experience where journaling feels like a warm conversation with a close friend—someone who truly listens and responds with empathy. We built Murmur Diary to transform 'writing alone' into 'talking together' with your inner self." 2. What problem are you trying to solve? (해결하려는 문제) "We are solving the 'Blank Page Syndrome' and the emotional gap in digital tools. Lowering the Barrier: Our AI engages users with gentle questions, making it easy to start recording without hesitation. Emotional Connection: Unlike static note apps, Murmur provides empathetic feedback, helping users feel heard and supported. Insightful Reflection: We help users discover hidden emotional patterns through AI-driven analysis, turning raw data into meaningful self-discovery." 3. How has your approach or process evolved during this launch? (발전 과정) "Our journey has been a transition from 'Tech-First' to 'Human-First.' Initially, we focused heavily on the sophistication of the AI model. However, through beta testing, we realized that users value 'warmth' and 'simplicity' over complex technical features. As a result, we refined our UI to be as minimal and calming as possible, specifically catering to the aesthetic preferences of global users in Canada and Australia. We also spent a lot of time fine-tuning the AI’s tone to ensure it feels supportive and gentle, rather than clinical or robotic."
