I've been running World Cup prediction pools since 2006. It started with pen and paper, moved to Excel, and this year finally built a tool. No existing predictor followed FIFA's Annex C knockout logic with 495 permutations given the expanded format. So I built Mundialist. Predict all 104 group stage matches, build a proper knockout bracket, pick Golden Boot/Assist/Glove, back dark horses for bonus points, and compete in private leagues. Free. No ads. Happy to answer any questions about the stack or the bracket logic. The Annex C implementation was the hardest part - 495 scenarios depending on which 8 of 12 third-place teams qualify.
The points system is something I'm also proud of - years of iteration across dozens of World Cup, Euros, and Copa América pools with hundreds of people. This version feels the most balanced: it rewards football knowledge while leaving enough room for surprises to keep things interesting until the Final.
