Building a product shouldn't mean stitching together your backend across different providers and payment infrastructure. Mudbase gives developers the backend infrastructure to build, ship and monetize products, with payments built in. Get authentication, database, storage, realtime, functions, APIs, webhooks and messaging in one backend, then manage the payment lifecycle from checkout to confirmation, access and payout without maintaining a separate payment stack.
Hi Product Hunt.
I’m Aderonmulo, a full-stack engineer, cybersecurity expert and the founder behind Mudbase.
Mudbase started from a problem I kept running into while building products.
Every time I started something new, I found myself rebuilding the same backend infrastructure: authentication, database, storage, realtime, functions, APIs, webhooks, messaging and, eventually, payments.
The frustrating part wasn't necessarily building each piece. It was making all these different services work together reliably.
Then payments made the problem even more obvious.
A customer pays in one system. Their account and data live somewhere else. Your application needs to verify the payment, update the right records, grant access to whatever they purchased, handle failures, and eventually deal with payouts.
Before long, you're spending a significant amount of engineering time connecting and maintaining services instead of building the actual product.
That's the problem we set out to solve with Mudbase.
We wanted to build a backend where the infrastructure you need to build your product and the infrastructure you need to monetize it live together.
Today, Mudbase brings authentication, database, storage, realtime, functions, APIs, webhooks, messaging and payments into one backend. You can manage the payment lifecycle from checkout through confirmation, access and payout within the same project.
Our thinking has evolved quite a bit while building Mudbase. We started with the idea of bringing backend primitives together. As we built real applications on top of it, we started thinking more broadly about the entire journey from building a product to getting it into production and generating revenue.
We've used Mudbase to build and test different types of applications, which has also helped us uncover limitations, rethink parts of the architecture and improve the developer experience along the way.
We're still early, and that's one of the reasons we're launching on Product Hunt. We want to put Mudbase in front of more developers, learn from how they build, and understand where the platform can become genuinely useful.
I would love to hear from you:
What does your current backend stack look like?
Where do you spend the most time connecting different services?
How do you currently handle payments and the application logic around them?
And if you could change one thing about the way you build and ship products today, what would it be?
I'll be here throughout the launch to answer questions, share what we've learned, and talk about how we built Mudbase.

Who hunted Mudbase BaaS?
Mudbase BaaS was hunted by Aderonmulo Muhammed Ariyo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
