There are only so many times you can think “we should really build a tool for this” before you have to actually build it.
For us, that was investigating why MRR numbers don’t match. We built MRRaudit to help our own team work through those questions, then realized there was no reason to keep it to ourselves.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve uncovered while trying to make your revenue numbers match?
finally someone tackling the stripe vs chartmogul mrr mismatch 🙌 super usefull, is it free forever?
We're a small team on Stripe, and the thing that tripped us up was renewal invoices sitting as drafts for about an hour before the charge. It's easy to read those as failed payments. Does MRRaudit show drafts like that separately, or count them as normal renewals?
The customer-by-customer Stripe vs ChartMogul comparison traced back to invoices and subscription events is the part I would use most. Read-only access is a nice touch too.
a customer by customer diff between Stripe and ChartMogul is the view everyone ends up rebuilding in a spreadhseet at month end
how do you treat a failed payment that gets recovered a few days later??? does that customer drop out of MRR in between, and can i choose that rule myself???
