I'm the creator of MouseKeyShow. When recording software tutorials and streaming coding sessions, viewers constantly ask: "What shortcut was that?" or "Did you just click a side button?"
Most existing keystroke overlays look outdated, block crucial UI elements, or completely ignore modern 5-button productivity mice. Worse yet, they break if you use tools like AltSnap or AutoHotkey.
To solve this, I built MouseKeyShow from scratch using Qt 6.8 and modern C++:
1. True Raw Input: Direct hardware polling that bypasses third-party remapping tools.
2. Contextual UI for MX Master 3: Thumb wheels and side buttons remain hidden to stay minimal, appearing seamlessly only when touched.
3. Smart Dodge: The card instantly moves away from your cursor so it never gets in the way of what you're demonstrating.
4. 360° Cursor Posture Radar: A 60 FPS halo around the cursor showing exactly which mouse button was pressed.
MouseKeyShow is 100% free, open-source, and contains no ads.
