MoreRoom
See what fills your Mac and free up space without fear
MoreRoom scans your Mac in seconds, shows every file on one clear map and explains what each thing is. Items are labelled "Safe to remove" or "Review first", everything goes to the Trash first and can be undone. No scare tactics, no fake junk counters.
My Mac kept running out of space, so I tried pretty much every cleaner and disk utility out there. Each one freed a few gigabytes, showed me a scary number, and left me with the same question: what is actually filling this disk?
So I started digging myself. Xcode simulators, Android emulators, old build folders, local AI models, caches no app ever mentions. I turned what I found into a small tool, mostly to help my teammates at the studio, whose Macs were always full too. On one teammate's Mac alone it found 26 GB of old iOS simulators and 23 GB of Android emulators that the usual cleaners had never shown us.
Soon everyone on the team was asking for it, so we turned it into a real app: MoreRoom. It maps your whole disk, explains each item in plain words, and tells you whether it's safe to remove or worth a second look. It knows hundreds of these hidden space hogs. Anything you remove goes to the Trash first, so you can always undo.
The free version does all of that, one item at a time, no time limit. Pro lets you clear a whole batch in one click.
It's our first Mac app, so honest feedback is very welcome. Curious what it finds on your Mac.

Who hunted MoreRoom?
MoreRoom was hunted by Yando. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
