Voice dictation that speaks your language. Stay in flow. Speak naturally. Monologue understands your context, learns your vocabulary, and formats automatically—so you can write what you meant to say.
The UX on this is so smooth. You can feel the love and care that went into it. Top tier work!
totally love the old-school design. and the feel, processing. thanks, might work instead of wispr for me
A definite and dramatic improvement over MacOS's built-in dictation. I'm typing less and less every day...including this comment.
Monologue is voice dictation that actually speaks language stay in flow, speak naturally, and let it handle the rest.
Really enjoyed using it! Treading water at rank #98 right now
Congrats!
I'm enjoying using this and I really love the retro aesthetic. This product has soul.
Would love to get mobile support and a speed increase for faster inference. I think it is 200-500ms too slow for my satisfaction (which is fine and most people won't care).
initial impressions is that i like it, i'll use it tomorrow more with claude code instead of typing and see how fast i can go!
Monologue sounds impressive! Running transcriptions locally is a fantastic feature for privacy-conscious users. Plus, the Winamp-inspired visuals add a nostalgic touch. Excited to see how this enhances voice dictation experiences. Great job! 🎉
Monologue has been great. I've been using it for the last month or so, and it really has changed the way I interact with claude code or even WhatsApp. It's just easy, it generally gets it, it has the context, gets the names correct. Props to @naveennaidu_m for building such a polished, well working product.

Absolutely loving it and use it every single day. I literally feel like Don Draper dictating big copy ideas into his voice recorder.
Amazing job guys.
I love how Monologue works for coding, especially in Claude code.
real product craftsmanship — the love & care shows in the UX. GG WP Every folks!
I was using Wispr and then I've been using Monologue for maybe a week. I found it to be performing pretty well when I'm in Claude Code, but less good compared to Whisper when I'm doing other stuff. I'm not sure it's because the training cells are heavily geared towards coding or not. In theory, it should have the contextual awareness, but it somehow performed way worse when it's not in the coding environment. I'm going to keep trying it, but for now, I find my experience split between Wispr and Monologue on desktop, and I'm still using Whisper on iOS. Also, this comment was written by Monologue!
I've been using this app heavily for the past month, and I can't think of any other product besides LLMs that have unlocked more productivity gains in the last few years. I especially love its contextual awareness of the application I'm in and the custom instructions I can give per app. It's fantastic for composing quick replies in Microsoft Teams or Outlook, or even composing messages to LLMs themselves. I've found that I'm using LLMs even more aggressively than before because it's so much easier to communicate what I want. Even though I'm a very effective typist, it's just so much easier to say it.
The only downside is that I'm in an office, and I have to continually close my door so my co‑workers aren't hearing everything I'm saying to myself and thinking I'm crazy in here.
LOVE Monologue. This is my first Product Hunt review but I'm here for Monologue lol. I'm trying to break into the top 25.
Monologue's visuals reminds me of @Winamp — which is great for a smarter voice dictation app!
I also appreciate that you can run transcription entirely locally — using Small, Medium, or Large models:
