I built Money Reset because every debt payoff tool I tried was one of two bad options: a Google Sheet that breaks the moment you touch a formula, or an app that wants read access to my bank accounts before it'll tell me anything.
What I wanted was simple — type in what I owe, and tell me when I'll be done.
So that's what this is. You enter each balance, APR and minimum payment, and it runs a month-by-month simulation to give you:
• a payoff date for every individual debt, and one for the whole plan • total interest you'll pay at your current rates • a snowball/avalanche toggle that reorders the plan instantly • an extra-payment slider so you can see exactly how many months $50 or $200 a month buys you • a budget tab where income minus expenses becomes your "free to attack debt" number
A few deliberate choices:
No account, no server. It's a single HTML file. Your numbers live in your browser's local storage and never leave your device — I have no way to see them, which is how I think a debt tracker should work.
Works offline. Once you have the file, it runs from your desktop with no internet.
Honest about limits: it assumes fixed APRs and no new borrowing, and doesn't model 0% promo periods or balance-transfer fees. It's a planning tool, not a financial advisor.
