Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Harshit, founder of Momento.
We built this after one too many weddings where the best photos never left WhatsApp — buried in a group chat, low quality, or lost when someone left the group. Physical disposable cameras looked romantic until we saw the bill, the half-empty cameras on tables, and the rolls that never got developed.
We wanted the disposable-camera *ritual* back — limited shots, everyone participating, that "reveal the next morning" feeling — without film, developing, or forcing guests to install an app.
So Momento is simple: guests scan a QR and shoot from the browser. Hosts get a private gallery, optional delayed reveal, photo challenges, and a highlight reel they generate when the event is done. No guest app download. Free to try (5 guests); paid plans are one-time per event, not a subscription.
What changed as we built it: we started as "just a shared album" and kept hearing hosts say they wanted *intentional* photos, not 400 identical selfies. Shot limits + delayed gallery + recap became the core — not an afterthought.
