I'm really excited to share Modyfi with you, a web-based collaborative image maker we've been working on for the past year and a half.
As a designer, Modyfi is a delightful tool to create in. It comes with plenty of tools to play with, from simple vectors and layers, to next gen AI features and incredibly satisfying effects (which we call "Modifiers"). It's also very forgiving - you are free to iterate and go back and forth with your design thanks to the non-destructive nature of the editor, nothing is permanent.
I'm thrilled about what designers and artists will make with it and how it will change the creative process, with one single platform to design, iterate, and review in.

Today we’re launching our full public beta after 18 months of stealth-mode development. It all started a few years ago when I was trying to round the corners of an image. Seems simple right? Well despite years of experience using Adobe creative tools, it still took watching a YouTube tutorial and about 15 steps in Photoshop to get the job done. And this brought back a thought I’d had many times before while using the current suite of available creative tools – there’s got to be a better way!
Graphic designers and image-makers have been saddled with blunt tools for too long. Sharing and collaborating on work is a nightmare, workflows are bogged down with mundane and tedious tasks, experimenting with and iterating on your design is slow and laborious, and all this eats into the time that creatives want to spend creating, exploring, and playing. Not wrangling software.
Our mission is to make designing fun again. Here’s what you can do with Modyfi today:

We’ve got all the essential tools designers and image-makers rely on – vectors, bitmaps, layers, masking, blend modes and more – and we’ve combined these with the next-gen of creative tools all built with professional creatives in mind: image generation, image-guided generation, and our “Modifiers” which are powerful and versatile real-time effects.

⏩ Skip the grunt work. We’re streamlining workflows with AI-powered tools like single-click background removal, split to layers, and smart delete. And this is just the beginning. Our aim is to build a platform that does every tedious task for you, so you can focus on creating.
👥 Collaborate in real-time. Share, co-create, and get feedback on designs in real-time. No more sending files back and forth, or trying to parse which version of your image is truly “final.”
🤯 Explore and play. While all of our tools give designers full control over their final design, Modifiers and design-forward image generation styles allow designers to quickly iterate on their initial image, and playfully explore new creative paths.
