What inspired me to build this?
I spend a lot of time working at my desktop, and I wanted a quick, beautiful way to track focus sessions (like Pomodoro) and time tasks without opening heavy browser tabs or bulky third-party apps.
What problem was I facing?
Most existing desktop timer apps on Windows either look outdated, clutter the screen with giant windows, or lack basic quality-of-life features like instant dark/light mode toggles, one-click mini collapse, or quick inline duration editing.

I built ModernTimer as a clean, low-profile Rainmeter desktop widget that stays out of your way while keeping you focused.
