Hey Product Hunt — I write papers in LaTeX and built the editor I kept wishing I had.
Three things drove it: compile errors that tell you what to fix instead of quoting a raw log, BibTeX autocomplete that finds a reference by author or title across your whole .bib, and a set of submission-readiness checks that catch what a journal will bounce before you upload. If you don't already have MacTeX or TinyTeX installed, ModernTex notices on your first compile and offers a one-click TinyTeX install right in the editor, so that's not a separate setup step.
