Moated is a menu bar focus timer for your Mac. Say what you’re working on, pick how long, and choose what to block. Distracting apps disappear and sites go blank until the session ends. Everything else can wait… and it should.
I kept sitting down to work on something that mattered and ending up somewhere else. A plain timer didn’t stop me, and a browser blocker did nothing about apps. So I built the thing I wanted: you say what you’re doing, and the drawbridge goes up until it’s done.
Moated lives in your menu bar. Every session starts with a goal and a length, from 5 minutes to 2 hours. Then you pick what’s off-limits:
