I built MixReflect because I kept seeing the same problem — artists post their music and either get fire emojis or silence. Even when feedback comes it's vague. "Sounds good!" doesn't help you get better.
I wanted feedback that was actually structured. The same questions every time, across the dimensions that matter, so you could compare reviews and see patterns. The peer model came naturally from that: if you want honest feedback from real listeners, other artists are the best ones to give it.
What surprised me while building it was how much people valued the structure itself. Artists told me just filling out the review form for other people's music made them better at identifying problems in their own. That feedback loop became core to the whole model.
