I'm Gus. Mise started from a simple frustration: every week, the same mental loop. What do we have at home? What's missing? What should I cook? What do I need to buy?
I'd show up at the grocery store with a half-baked list, buy things I already had, forget what I actually needed — and still spend 20 minutes deciding what to cook on Tuesday.
The problem isn't that people are disorganized. It's that the tools don't talk to each other. You keep your list in one place, your recipes in another, and your pantry lives entirely in your head.
So I built Mise to connect all three. Plan your week → shopping list is ready. Check something off at the store → pantry updates automatically. The system does the remembering. You just cook.
What surprised me most during the process: the pantry is the key. Once it's accurate, everything else — the list, the plan, the suggestions — falls into place naturally. I almost shipped without it. I'm glad I didn't.
No social feed. No AI pitch. No marketplace. Just a tool that reduces decisions so you can focus on what actually matters: cooking and eating well.
