So excited for our third product launch on here. This time we're launching Minutes AI, a simple, flexible, AI-powered note taking app.
Minutes actually has a pretty interesting origin. For the last year or so Declan, Phillip (my amazing co-founders!) and I have been working on JotBot, an AI writing tool for students. While we were working on JotBot, we launched a feature that took lecture notes for you.
This feature blew up. We had a single TikTok showing this features get 55 million views, our most viral video ever. Interestingly enough, even though the video showed students using the app for their lectures, a bunch of people who saw the video ended up trying out the app in meetings, webinars, and other professional settings.
And so we decided to launch the feature as a standalone mobile app going after this new, intriguing audience. In fact, we went viral for meeting minutes all over again just last week, getting us ~25,000 installs in our first month or so.
Now, we’re thrilled to officially introduce Minutes AI to you all!
We know there are a lot of meeting recorders out there with a whole spectrum of interesting features and capabilities. These tools are great, but can get overcomplicated. We want to focus on making the app experience simple, intuitive, and flexible — no setup, no linking your zoom account — just hit record and get beautifully formatted notes, every time.

Love the origin story and how you found PMF. And what a way to launch your product to 55 million people. I love an app designed to record in-person conversations and audio - life happens outside of Zoom and Meet.

I get the idea behind this app but honestly, does anyone really need another AI tool in their life, it's becoming too much, maybe it does what it says but isn't this just adding to the noise, curious to see if it actually simplifies meetings or just complicates things more, 🤔
This app seems pretty interesting but I can't help but wonder how it stacks up against tools like Otter.ai or Rev which have been around for a bit and have pretty solid features, also would love to see some integration with project management tools like Asana or Trello to make it more useful for teams and not just for meeting notes any thoughts on adding those?

Seems like a handy tool. Since the culture of remote work is rising so much. We need a suite of tools like this to make our work lives easier.
It is an impressive app with a minimal and super attractive UI, makes taking notes in meetings feel like a breeze. The AI-generated notes and transcripts are spot-on, and being able to chat with the transcript to pull out key insights or action items is just brilliant. However, I have to wonder why it's only on the App Store. Maybe they're trying to keep it exclusive, or maybe Android users just don’t deserve nice things? Either way, it’s a really useful app if you’re on iOS, but I guess the rest of us will just have to keep waiting 😥.
