MiniTAP is a fun sequencer that runs as a browser extension. It is controlled with your keyboard and it features an advanced clock that can be synchronised to live music. It connects to the current window via events. What to do with those events is up to you!

Hey there! So, last week I was working on a website and needed a way to synchronise visuals with live music. I've used MIDI controllers for this before, but I am travelling right now and don't have mine with me. So I had the crazy idea to build a browser extension that uses the keyboard as input and includes a sequencer. I gave myself 24 hours to finish it. Of course it ended up taking longer, specially since I ended up creating a demo, a small landing, docs, and an intro video. – Ended up going from idea to launch in a week. Quite happy about that. Anyway, let me know what you think :)

Im intrigued, but I dont understand what this does. The video doesn’t help. You need to dumb it down for dummies like me (and others)

Wait, this is so fun and CLEAN. Love how the inspo came from traveling without your controllers. Would making an iOS/iPad companion app make sense, adding touch controls and potentially another way to increase input and monitoring? Congrats on the launch, @kmkota0!

The design of the extension is attractive. It looks clean and user-friendly, which is essential for a smooth creative process!

You can include a tutorial for new users. It could help them understand how to make the most out of all the features!

Congratulations @kmkota0. All the very best. Can MiniTAP be used with any type of live music, or are there specific genres it works best with?

A small issue I face in this. the demo video takes a bit longer to load. It would be great if that could be optimized!

Congrats to the MiniTAP team on the launch! This browser-based sequencer sounds like a unique and exciting tool for live music synchronization—I'm amazed at how it leverages events for real-time interaction!

Hey @kmkota0, This is such a clever and innovative idea! MiniTAP sounds like a game-changer for synchronizing visuals with live music, especially for those of us who are often on the go and might not have access to our usual MIDI controllers. The fact that it runs as a browser extension and uses the keyboard for input is both brilliant and super convenient. I can't believe you managed to go from idea to launch in just a week, that's really impressive! Definitely going to try this out on my next project. Looking forward to seeing how it works in action. Kudos on the launch! 🌟

Congrats on the launch, @kmkota0! MiniTAP sounds like a creative solution for synchronizing visuals with live music, especially using just a keyboard. The fact that you built it in a week is impressive! Can't wait to try it out and see the events in action. UPVOTE!

hey there @kmkota0 , hats off, MiniTAP sounds super impressive. haven't got the chance to try it yet, but it already smells like a game changer.

Wow, from idea to launch in a week? That's impressive! Love how you turned a travel constraint into an opportunity for innovation. The browser extension sounds super useful for live performances. Have you thought about expanding it to work with other input devices in the future? Keep up the great work!

Really well-polished website and application. Apart from really pretty UI, I also admire the documentation. I am trying to use it, although I am not well versed with music.

🎉 Congratulations on launching MiniTAP! It's amazing to see such creativity turned into a functional tool in just a week. The idea of using keyboard input to sync visuals with live music is super innovative. 🚀
