Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Lincy, the maker of MineArcane.
I started MineArcane because I kept wondering why creating even a small Minecraft mod still requires learning Java, Fabric APIs, Gradle, mappings, resource files and textures.
The backend has actually been rewritten three times. Early versions gave the LLM too much freedom — they could generate convincing-looking code, but Minecraft modding is extremely version-sensitive, and "looks correct" is very different from "actually works in game."
MineArcane now uses a much more constrained pipeline: understand the request → validate supported capabilities → generate against tested runtimes → create assets and textures → validate → compile → deliver a real Fabric JAR.
Today it can create custom items, blocks, tools, armor, food, potions, recipes, limited creatures, fluids and several controlled behaviors.
My goal isn’t to let AI generate anything imaginable yet. I’d rather clearly reject an unsupported idea than give someone a broken mod.
I’d love feedback on the creation experience, especially from Minecraft players who have ideas but have never written a mod before.
