General AI tools will answer fast, but they'll invent a citation just as confidently as they'll get one right, and for research that's worse than no answer.
Mimir works differently. It retrieves from a corpus of over a million indexed papers in materials science, chemistry, and physics, and answers from what it finds, so every citation traces to a real paper you can open. It's built for the mid-project moment when you need a specific number, condition, or property, not a literature review.
