I'm 39, and like a lot of women my age, I like the idea of shopping for clothes online. However, the reality is usually both painful and time-consuming when using most fashion inspiration and e-commerce sites.
You type in a few keywords, click through filters that don't speak your language, scroll for what feels like hours β and most of the time, you'll just give up without buying anything. Not because nothing was right for you, but because you never actually found it.
That's the problem we wanted Mimette π to solve.
Instead of search terms and filters, you tell her your style and your current "vibe" β a feeling, a mood, an occasion, whatever you're chasing today β and she hands you back a complete outfit that's already budget-aligned, with a warm plain-language note on why it works for you.
Not another closet app. Not another color-analysis tool.
Just the cool girlfriend with great fashion taste who actually gets you, every time you talk to her.
We built this as our capstone project in an AI Product Management bootcamp, and it ended up winning the student vote out of 18 teams at demo day β which is honestly still surreal to type!

We're Marine and Reina, and we built Mimette because shopping for clothes online often feels like navigating an endless jungle. You know the vibe, the occasion, the budget you're going for β yet the filters on most e-commerce sites ("size, item type, color, price") just don't help you translate what you actually want.
Unlike other styling apps, we're not wardrobe-first β we don't ask you to catalogue everything you own. We're taste-first and outfit-first: we start by learning what you already love, the moods and aesthetics you relate to, so every suggestion is grounded in who you actually are.

We drew a lot of inspiration from French style philosophy: quality over quantity, confidence over trends, and dressing for you rather than for an algorithm's idea of "on-trend." At its heart, Mimette is meant to feel like that cool, style-savvy French girlfriend every woman wishes she had at her side while shopping β warm, personal, and never judgmental, just there to help you feel like yourself.
This started as our AI PM Bootcamp capstone with Marily Nika β built in a tandem in 18 days β and won the demo day vote out of 18 teams. Since then it's kept growing with real usage, and we're launching it here to push it further.
