How do you find the right tomatoes to grow where you actually live? We're turning independent seed catalogs into a location-aware discovery engine: match by hardiness zone, planting calendars, days to harvest, genetics, and who actually grew the seed. See what's plantable right now and soon in your climate region. Compare heirloom, open-pollinated, and landrace varieties side by side. We're not a store, we link directly to seed growers. A product from Milpa (farmsdirectory.com).
Hey Product Hunters! I'm Nicholas, a farmer in upstate New York. I've spent ten years tracking rare seeds from around the world: combing through catalogs, gathering seeds from the wild, and going to the keepers themselves to hear their stories.
We built The Vault to help reveal high quality unique seeds to plant on your farm, in your garden, even on your windowsill. We bring all the options together to consider, then direct you to where to buy. Our goal is to make the best independent seed companies discoverable, especially for people who care about regional adaptation and knowing where their seed comes from.
The harder challenge we're working on is provenance infrastructure, software that traces origin from seed to shelf. The Vault is our proof that provenance data can actually be useful at the point of decision, not just filed away in a compliance doc.
We'll have some fun updates coming soon, as you can tell by the photos. Happy to answer anything I can about the plants, product, and what's next. How can we be even more useful on your planting journey?
