MillionDollarMetro.com — The City is for Sale. 196 voxel plots, 13 live metro trains, and double-decker bus billboards. Build landmarks, sponsor high-speed metros, and outbid rival brands starting from $1.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I've always loved the original Million Dollar Homepage — a grid of pixels that turned into internet history. But it was static. So I built Million Dollar Metro: a living, moving version of the same idea.
It's a 3D voxel city where brands can claim real estate — 196 plots, 13 live metro trains running in real time, and a double-decker bus billboard — starting at just $1. Instead of buying a static pixel, you're claiming a spot in a skyline that's actually alive, and if someone outbids you, you can bid it back.
Why I built it: I wanted to see what happens when you combine the scarcity/FOMO mechanics of the original million-dollar-pixel concept with something visually alive instead of a flat image grid. Watching a train you sponsored actually roll through the city hits different than a static banner ever did.
Some things I'd love feedback on:
Does the bidding mechanic feel fun or stressful? 😅
What would make you actually want to claim a plot/train?
Any features you'd want to see next (leaderboards, animations, sponsor takeovers)?
Would genuinely love to hear what you think — and if you claim a plot today, reply here and I'll shout it out in the comments!
