Hey everyone 👋
I built milistita because gift lists in Argentina and Latin America were stuck between two bad options: the registry of a big store (locked to one catalog, sometimes with commissions) or the "just send us money" cash registries. Nothing that was free, let you add products from any store, and kept things dead simple for the guests.
It started as the most basic thing possible: paste a product link, get a shareable page. Then I added per-item reservation so gifts don't get duplicated. The part that surprised me was weddings — people kept asking to put the invitation (RSVP, how to get there, schedule) in the same link as the registry, so now that's built in.
Two decisions I kept defending: it stays free with no commission for anyone, and guests never need an account to view a list. That friction is what kills adoption with older relatives, who are half the people using any gift list.
It's Spanish-only and tuned for local stores (MercadoLibre, Falabella, Tienda Nube), which the US-first universal tools don't really handle.
