Hey Product Hunt community! 👋 I'm Maish, and I'm super happy to share Mighty Cursor (MC) with you all today! When ChatGPT burst onto the scene, like many, I was amazed by its power for both complex and simple tasks. But for those quick, single-turn queries – like needing a backstory on an article I was reading – the workflow felt clunky. I’d copy the text, switch apps, paste into ChatGPT, then try to bring that info back. And integrating answers directly into a document? That often meant even more tedious steps. The constant app-switching and copy-pasting was a real drag on productivity. As a designer who grew up inspired by futuristic concepts like the Apple Knowledge Navigator (Apple's vision for AI agents from 1987), I wondered: could we make interacting with AI more human, more seamless, using voice? I was lucky to connect with a full stack developer Arul, who shared the same vision. Together, navigating many challenges, we’ve worked to make Mighty Cursor intuitive and, hopefully, a delight to use. MC isn't just another app; it's a rethink of how we interact with AI – making it seamless and intuitive right where you are. (Quick note: MC has no relation to the coding assistant with a similar name!) Imagine this: 🤯 Instantly clarify confusing text, summarize articles, or generate content right where you are, without ever leaving your current application. 🎙️ Just press and hold a hotkey, ask your question, and release to get an answer via voice or text. It’s like having a walkie-talkie to an AI that understands text, images, webpages, and even documents. 💡 Smart Output: MC is clever about how it responds! Ask a general knowledge question (who/what/when etc.), and it replies by voice. Ask it to write something, and it pastes the response directly into your active document. ⚡ Boost your productivity whether you're writing, researching, studying, or just exploring. MC can help you analyze PDF/Word docs, query image selections, take instant notes, create flashcards, diagrams, and even generate images! Why we built this: We believe accessing the power of AI shouldn't disrupt your workflow. It should feel like a natural extension of your thoughts, seamlessly integrated into how you already use your Mac. That's the "Mighty" in Mighty Cursor – powerful AI, right at your mousetip. We've poured our hearts into making MC useful, novel, and a joy to use. This is just the beginning, and your feedback is GOLD to us. Saw the demo vid and my jaw dropped. I tried it and I love it!! @maish 3 things on my wish list:

  • Allow use of Local Models - I'd pay for a lifetime membership

  • There HAS to be a way to use better voice models like something from @ElevenLabs and @Mighty Cursor acting as a TTS Vendors for Mac/Apple

  • Having MagicMouse not be visible on the CMD+Tab (window changer) and option to hide the mac menu bar item. I like keeping things cleeeaann

Awesome job so far!

Mighty Cursor smartly transforms your cursor into a voice-activated AI assistant, making content creation and info lookup effortless.

Interesting concept, Maish. Seamless AI access through voice and contextual tools sounds useful for multitaskers and productivity-focused users. It may be helpful to clarify early on how MC handles privacy and data processing, especially since it operates across multiple apps and documents. Looking forward to seeing how people integrate it into their workflows.

What a great interface idea! I am curious if you can you code your own shortcuts to cursor?
