Hi Product Hunt, I'm Nick, founder of Midnight Labs in Dubai.
I run a small free zone company here and got used to Dinero in Denmark, where bookkeeping for a one-person business takes minutes a month. When I moved to the UAE I found nothing like it. The tools were either built for accountants or built for another country with VAT bolted on.
So I built Midnight Ledger. It keeps proper double-entry books underneath, but you never see a journal unless you want to.
What it does today:
• Tax invoices with gapless numbering, TRN validation and CBUAE exchange rates
• Drop a receipt and the supplier, amounts and VAT are read and filed for review
• A VAT return that mirrors the FTA VAT 201 form box for box, including the emirate split
• Bank CSV import from any UAE bank with automatic matching
• Monthly payroll with WPS SIF files, gratuity accrual and payslips
• A corporate tax estimate that tracks the AED 375,000 band and Small Business Relief all year
• P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, FTA Audit File and CSV exports
• Multiple companies under one login, with view-only seats for your accountant
• A public REST API and MCP server, so your AI assistant can read your books and draft invoices for you
Plans are priced in AED and your data exports as CSV at any time, so there is no lock-in.
