Top comment

You already own instruments you love. midiflow pro puts them to work with Claude.

It is a plugin for Claude Desktop, not a standalone app and not a cloud service. You bring your song, your MIDI and your instruments, and Claude works as your co-producer. It plays your parts through your own VST3 and Audio Unit instruments and effects, shapes the sounds, adds the parts you ask for and mixes up to 16 tracks, all rendered locally on your Mac. The result is not a baked-in audio file. The MIDI, the tracks and the mix stay editable.

What you can do

- Hear your MIDI on a new sound. Pick a track, choose the instrument and effects, listen to the take.

- Finish your arrangement in conversation. Ask for a bass, a pad or drums under your melody, ask for a change, hear the result.

- Rebuild a demo or a song from an AI music generator on your own instruments, section by section.

- Export the mix, each track as audio and MIDI, and a DAWproject file to continue in your DAW.

Good to know

- Runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14+ and Claude Desktop.

- The built-in midiflow Sampler plays your SFZ, SoundFont and DecentSampler libraries, or builds an instrument from your own samples.

- Serum 2 and Spire have dedicated preset support. With other plug-ins, preset access depends on the plug-in, and you can always set a sound in the plug-in’s own window.

- Claude works with measurements of loudness, tone, stereo and note audibility, and you make the musical decisions with your ears.

Try it free with 120 seconds of rendered audio, once per Mac, no credit card. After that it is €49 a year incl. VAT, for two Macs, with all features and updates. Product Hunt launch offer: PRODUCTHUNT26 takes 20% off the first year until November 30.

What would you ask a co-producer to do first with your own plug-ins?

midiflow pro was hunted by Christian Wendler.
