Hey Product Hunt 👋 I spent four years as COO of a social impact company, and ended up seeing the same reporting problem from both sides. We were raising, so we were the ones reporting. Every quarter: another investor update. Different template, different format, mostly the same numbers rearranged. Meanwhile, investors would tell me about their side of it: sometimes hundreds of portfolio companies reporting at once, all in different formats. I remember thinking: I’m annoyed about one update. You’re doing this hundreds of times. Then we started working with foundations on impact assessment. Different world, same problem. Send the request. Wait. Chase. Get twelve responses out of twenty. One sends a PDF. One sends a spreadsheet. Someone asks what “beneficiaries reached” actually means, which is a very good question. That’s when it clicked: Someone asks. Someone answers. Then everyone slowly loses track of what was asked, what it meant, and who said what. So we built Metry for that whole process. You describe a company or programme. Metry suggests what you might want to ask for and explains why. You choose what actually matters. The people reporting get a private link, no account required. They submit the numbers, context and supporting evidence. And Metry remembers: the number, the definition, the period, who submitted it, and what sits behind it. Three quarters later, the reporting record is still there, and more. AI can write a very good report from information you give it. What it doesn’t give you by itself is the shared place where all those organisations report, period after period, with the history kept intact. Two things we don’t have yet: sending a submission back with “can you double-check this?” and automatic nudges. We’re working on both, but I wanted to be upfront about what’s there today. Go have a play. Break something. Tell me what’s not working ~ genuinely, that’s the useful part 🙏 Thank you all!

Metry was hunted by MetryApp. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
