Hi Product Hunt,
I built MessyMatch because working with real-world files is still weirdly annoying.
You export a CSV from one system, an Excel file from another, and somehow they do not match.
Sometimes it is obvious.
Most of the time, it is not.
It is a trailing space, a missing row, a duplicated key, a changed value, an accent, a separator, a different casing rule, or one of those invisible characters that ruins your afternoon.
MessyMatch does two things:
1. Compare files
Upload two messy CSV, Excel, TXT or flat JSON files and find what is missing, duplicated, changed or almost-matching.
2. Split files
Upload one large CSV, Excel, TXT or simple SQL dump and split it into smaller import-ready parts like name_0.csv, name_1.csv and name_2.csv.
A few product decisions:
* Browser-first for normal operations.
* No formulas.
* No scripts.
* No dashboards.
* No giant data platform.
* Exact matches and almost-matches are clearly separated.
* Split is free with daily limits.
* Small Compare operations are free up to 2,000 rows per file.
* Larger Compare operations are pay-as-you-go.
I would love feedback from people who work with exports, imports, migrations, CRM files, ecommerce data, accounting files, SQL dumps or any other file-shaped chaos.
