we built MessMate to solve a real problem I faced living in a shared mess — tracking who paid for groceries, splitting rent fairly, and knowing who owes what at month end was a nightmare in group chats and spreadsheets.
MessMate automates all of it:
– Daily meal attendance → auto meal rate
– Monthly settlement report emailed to everyone on the 1st
– Bazar duty scheduling
– Group chat + leave management
It's completely free, mobile-first, and runs entirely in the browser. No app install needed.
