Hey Product Hunt, I’m David, one of the makers of Messageboard. We built Messageboard because we kept needing the same small tool: a place where programmatic updates from scripts, deploys, cron jobs, and monitoring checks could become visible without building another internal dashboard. The workflow is simple: - POST a message to the API with a unique name. - Add a dashboard widget for that message name - POST again with the same name when the status changes. - The widget shows the latest version, and the history stays available. That makes Messageboard useful for: - Deploy status boards. - Service health boards. - Cron job summaries. - Incident updates. - Internal announcements. - API-driven changelogs. We made a few deliberate choices: - Versioning is built in. A status message is not just a log line. It has a current state and a history. - The API is the product. The dashboard is the first-party display layer. - Setup should take minutes. No SDK, no connector, no custom frontend. There is a free tier with no credit card required. The quickest way to test it is to create an API key, POST a message, add the matching widget, then POST a second version and watch the widget update. We would love feedback from developers, ops teams, and anyone who has built one too many internal status boards. Try it: https://messageboard.tech

How does the versioning actually work under the hood when you push an update to an existing message name, and is there any limit on how many versions get retained before older ones get pruned?

Who hunted Messageboard?

Messageboard was hunted by David Chancogne.
