I'm Nimesh, the founder of MerchantFlow.
I run ecommerce stores myself, and the thing that kept frustrating me was simple: I could see revenue every day, but I never had a clean answer to "did I actually make money?" Once you account for ad spend, shipping, transaction fees, cost of goods, and the fact that I sell into multiple regions, the real profit number is buried. I was doing it in spreadsheets, getting it wrong, and making decisions on bad data.
The analytics tools I tried mostly fixated on per-channel attribution, which is noisy and which the ad platforms themselves can't agree on. I didn't want a model I had to argue with. I wanted a profit number I could trust and act on.
So I built MerchantFlow: profit analytics for Shopify merchants, focused on blended, trustworthy metrics, true profit, blended ROAS, total ad spend, and accurate P&L across multiple shipping regions, rather than attribution guesswork.
What changed most while building it: I started thinking it was a metrics dashboard, and ended up realising merchants don't want more metrics, they want fewer numbers they can rely on. That shaped a lot of what got cut.
It's been built solo, and getting it through Shopify App Store review and in front of real merchants has been the best feedback loop I've had. A few stores are running it in beta already.
