A free 8-week email program for parents of kids 3 to 10. Six evenings a week: a 15-minute lesson and one small exercise, backed by 59 cited studies. Fewer standoffs, more cooperation, and maybe the shoes go on the first time.
I'm Guy, a parent of 3 boys. "Mentor of the House" grew out of my own experience. If you've ever asked for shoes on four times before 8am, this one's for you.
It's a free 8-week program by email for parents of kids 3 to 10. Six evenings a week, after bedtime, you get a 15-minute lesson. The next day brings one small exercise you can do during the bath, the drive or the shoe standoff.
This program is based on real studies, I used Agent Bayes, an automated research system to create the material for the lessons. It worked from a library of 71 papers (meta-analyses, trials and reviews), and every claim in the lessons carries a citation with page numbers. 59 studies made the final cut.
These are the four principles that guided the research:
🧡 Love: give attention freely, before your child has to earn it by misbehaving. 🤝 Ego: cooperation, not domination. Real choices for the child, and the parent still holds the limit. 🧭 Mentoring: show the choices, the consequences and the effect on others. 🔁 Consistency: the same response every time, practiced until it sticks.
Firmness is in there too, used when needed, never as the default.
It's free. No ads, no cookies, and one click unsubscribes you.
Fellow tired parents: what's your 8:05 standoff? I'd love your feedback 😅
