MeMos is an iPhone app that records your thoughts onto virtual micro cassettes. Every recording becomes an object on a shelf, with its own number, its own case and a card you can decorate. You pick a moment for it to come back, and it finds you then. Recording and transcription both happen on the phone. There are no accounts and no servers, and your audio never leaves the device.
Most voice memos end up as rows of files named "New Recording 47" that nobody opens again. MeMos gives each recording a body. Every MeMo lives on a virtual microcassette you can name, decorate with photos and stickers, tag, and set to revisit on a specific day and time. Record multiple takes, transcribe on-device, import voice messages from friends, and choose from eight playback sounds.
