Hi Product Hunt. I am Hossam, the founder of ShutterDev and the developer behind Memora. I built Memora because every photo tool I tried either made me tag thousands of images by hand or wanted to upload my whole library to the cloud. I have a personal collection of more than 400,000 photos, and neither option worked for me. Memora takes a different approach. It runs entirely on your Windows PC. You point it at your folders, or import a Lightroom or Capture One catalog, and it builds a local AI index so you can search by describing what is in a photo. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no subscription. The core app is free, and an optional one-time Pro upgrade adds Face Recognition and People tools. Here is a short demo of importing a catalog and searching: https://youtu.be/PyEm--K-zGE I would love your feedback, especially from photographers with large local libraries. Happy to answer any questions in the thread.

Who hunted Memora?

Memora was hunted by Hossam Abdel-Kader. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
