Native macOS app for repo-resident AI memory. Memories, wiki, design, code, tasks, sessions, documents, vendors, and templates — every tier lives in your git repo as plain markdown, exposed to every AI editor through a native MCP server, so each session starts already up to speed.
After months of development, I am launching Memophant, a Tool born of massive frustration with the black-box, non-portable memory systems out there. It all started as a basic memory-powered tool overlay, but over time, I created my own that was faster, simpler, and, most importantly, entirely portable via GitHub. During a final test, on a new session in a new Memophant-powered repo, it got up to speed in less than 30 seconds. No priming prompt, no spelunking — it called Memophant's MCP tools six times and described the app, its architecture, even the branch it was mid-work on, entirely from repo-resident memory. That's the whole promise: every session starts already up to speed.

Who hunted Memophant?
Memophant was hunted by Alan Wizemann. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
