"No cap." "Slay." "It's giving." You keep seeing these — with no idea what they mean. Memling fixes that. Paste any slang, phrase, or meme and get an instant explanation: what it means, where it came from, how people use it. 🔍 Slang Explainer — Gen Z, TikTok, Discord and beyond 🖼️ Meme Explainer — snap a photo, get the full context 🎭 Style Translator — rewrite anything as Yoda, Gordon Ramsay or Shakespeare Free on iOS and Android. Built by a solo indie dev.
I’m thrilled to introduce Memling — an AI-powered app built by a husband-and-wife indie team.
The idea came from a real, everyday problem. During family dinners, our daughter would enthusiastically talk about "Italian brainrot," Roblox lore, and TikTok trends that left us completely clueless. We realized how incredibly fast internet culture moves and how hard it is for parents (and anyone outside the loop) to keep up.
So, we decided to build a solution. We had zero experience in launching mobile products, but using Flutter and teaming up with AI agents (Claude for product management, ChatGPT for development), we managed to bring this idea to life from scratch.
Memling isn’t just a simple translator. It’s an End-to-End tool that:
✅ Decodes complex internet slang in seconds
✅ Explains the hidden context behind viral memes
✅ Helps different generations finally understand each other
We’ve poured a lot of heart into fine-tuning the AI prompt so it delivers the perfect balance between accurate explanation and a fun, lively tone.
Today, Memling is officially live on both the App Store and Google Play!
