Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Bhavarth, and this is Melo.
I've always needed some kind of sound in the background to focus or wind down, whether that's rain, a fireplace, lo-fi or white noise. But finding it meant jumping between YouTube, random apps and playlists, dodging ads and sign-up walls, and ending up with a busy screen when all I wanted was something calm.
So I built the place I wanted: one quiet corner where you can find a sound for whatever mood you're in, press play, and let it run.
While building it, I realised sound was only half the experience.
What's on your screen matters too. That's how Ambient Worlds happened: slow, living visuals like Meadow, Tidal, Golden Hour and Night Sky that you can pair with any sound and go fullscreen with. It turned Melo from a sound library into something closer to a space you sit in.
A few things I cared about along the way:
- Free, with no sign-in and no ads
- Every sound credited to the person who made it, with a link back to the source
- Upvotes, so the community decides what's trending
