MegaMegaTypeType
The world’s biggest index of the world's best typefaces.
‘Ello Product Hunt 👋
I’m Angela, a creative director, designer and all-round type lover.
The problem: Every time I needed a typeface for a project I’d end up with a tonne of foundry tabs open, clicking through site after site hunting for the perfect font.
Slow. And comparing fonts across foundries? Impossible 😫
So I built MegaMegaTypeType One place to search typefaces from the world’s best independent type foundries.
What you can do:
1 Search and filter by name, category, style, use, foundry or marketplace, plus features like italics, mono and variable and much more
2 Save favourites: keep the fonts and foundries you love in one place
3 Project drawers: collect fonts for each project as you go
4 Font brief: describe your project, the mood and what to avoid, and get 20 ranked picks - each accompanied by rationale
5 MCP: plug our connector into Claude or ChatGPT, ask for fonts right there and it’ll save picks to your drawers
6 New releases: keep up as foundries launch new type
We’re in beta at the minute, with 100 founding member places, free until September 2027.
There’s loads more planned, and I’d love your help shaping it. Which foundry or typeface did you look for and not find? Tell me and I’ll get it added! If it's world-class of course!!
Could quite possibly save years of my life. Gone are the days of trawling hundreds of type foundry sites - they’re all here in one place
I’m very impressed with it, I’m a developer but I can see the value in it. 🔥
Well done!
