MeetingTab shows what a meeting is actually costing, live — based on real attendee salaries. Add people, hit start, watch the cost climb, get a shareable receipt. Web app + Chrome extension, multi-currency support. Not just shipped and forgotten: I ran full QA cycles, found and fixed a silent bug, a state regression, and a security XSS vulnerability — full defect history public on GitHub. Try it, break it, tell me what's missing.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built MeetingTab because I kept noticing the same thing: meetings feel free, but they're not. Six people in a one-hour meeting, each earning around $150k/year, is roughly $450 of salary spent — and nobody ever sees that number. I wanted to make that cost visible, live, in a way that's actually satisfying to watch (and share). What started as a simple cost calculator turned into something more interesting for me: a real QA exercise. I ran full manual test cycles on every release, cross-checked my own code with an independent AI review (which caught two undefined-function bugs that would've crashed the app), and did a full security audit — found and fixed a stored XSS vulnerability where user input wasn't being sanitized. The entire defect history is public on GitHub, not hidden. That process changed how I think about "shipping" — it's not done when it works once, it's done when you've actively tried to break it and documented what you found. Would genuinely love for you to try it, break it if you can, and tell me what's confusing or missing. Every bit of feedback shapes what gets built next.

Comment highlights

Would love to see a way to set a budget cap per meeting, so the timer flashes or turns red once the cost crosses a threshold you pick beforehand. That way people running the call get a visual nudge to wrap things up instead of only seeing the damage after the fact.
