I built MeetingMind because I kept running into the same wall: existing transcription tools work fine in a controlled desktop environment, but fall apart the moment you're on a real workday — back-to-back phone calls, patchy LTE, a one-hour recording you need summarized before the next meeting starts. Two things I'm most proud of in the current build: Phone call recording. You can record an external phone call directly from inside the app. Not a workaround, not a screen-recorder hack — it's a dedicated flow that captures the call cleanly. This came from users who live on phone calls (sales, recruiters, consultants) and were duct-taping together two or three apps to get what should be one step. Long-upload reliability on cellular. This is the quiet, unglamorous feature that matters most to heavy users. Otter has a well-documented pattern of silently dropping uploads over 45-60 minutes when you're not on Wi-Fi. I spent a meaningful chunk of time building a transfer layer that survives connection drops, backgrounding, and the full gauntlet of mobile network conditions. It just works. This is genuinely an indie app, not a startup with a growth team. That means I can move fast on specific pain points (like the two above) without committee approval.
