Hey ProductHunt — Sushanth here, solo developer running a portfolio of mobile apps. Happy to answer anything. I built MeetingMind because I kept running into the same wall: existing transcription tools work fine in a controlled desktop environment, but fall apart the moment you're on a real workday — back-to-back phone calls, patchy LTE, a one-hour recording you need summarized before the next meeting starts. Two things I'm most proud of in the current build: Phone call recording. You can record an external phone call directly from inside the app. Not a workaround, not a screen-recorder hack — it's a dedicated flow that captures the call cleanly. This came from users who live on phone calls (sales, recruiters, consultants) and were duct-taping together two or three apps to get what should be one step. Long-upload reliability on cellular. This is the quiet, unglamorous feature that matters most to heavy users. Otter has a well-documented pattern of silently dropping uploads over 45-60 minutes when you're not on Wi-Fi. I spent a meaningful chunk of time building a transfer layer that survives connection drops, backgrounding, and the full gauntlet of mobile network conditions. It just works. [INSERT calendar auto-record paragraph here if you want] The AI summarization sits on top of both — you get decisions, action items, and highlights without having to read a full transcript. This is genuinely an indie app, not a startup with a growth team. That means I can move fast on specific pain points (like the two above) without committee approval. It also means feedback here directly shapes what ships next. If you take long calls, work in the field, or have ever watched a 90-minute upload fail at 98% — I'd love to hear what your current setup looks like. Ask me anything.

Meeting Mind

Hi PH! Built MeetingMind because I lost a 90-minute interview recording to a flaky cell connection on Otter and decided the whole "Zoom-bot meeting transcription" category was ignoring the people who do most of their meetings from a phone, not a laptop.

MeetingMind is a mobile-first meeting transcription + summarization app, iOS + Android. Two things it does that the desktop-first competitors don't:

  • Records actual phone calls from inside the app (not just Zoom/Meet, capture a regular phone call, get a transcript + summary)

  • Resumable chunked uploads built around "you're on LTE and the connection might drop" so long recordings don't disappear mid-transfer

Three things I'd love this community to push on:

  1. Is "mobile-first transcription" a real positioning, or does it sound like "the worse version of Otter"?

  2. Phone-call recording is the most differentiated thing the app does but the least obvious. Sales-on-the-road, founder-doing-customer-calls, journalist-interview users love it. Should that audience be the entire landing page?

  3. Pricing: Otter is $17/mo. I'm well below that. Where would you anchor against a sticky competitor?

Critique > compliments. The harshest feedback is most useful.
