Congratulations on the launch of Meeting Guidelines! It's great to see a solution that addresses the common issue of meetings hindering productivity.
This is an interesting product, and I can see why it's so controversial. Meeting guidelines are a fine line between productivity and micro-management. However, in my experience meetings without an agenda and guideline end up dragging on and reducing effectiveness. In this fast paced world, meetings need to be to the point. I am not saying there isn't space for creativity and togetherness, but for example, many companies have DAILY team meeting which can go on till 3 hours!!! I have seen this first-hand, and those and not at all efficient. Talk to the employees, and they are often annoyed that they couldn't finish their actual tasks. I have been part of teams with good guidelines in place through Basecamp for example and those are often smooth sailing and because it's so well structured leaves more space for conversations to be creative and human. So, I personally think this product is essential and am grateful that it's integrated with Google Calendar!
Looks like a really cool product @roberjet ! Tried logging through the work email...but it said that the account couldn't be created because I'm not the admin, even though I am! Can you please check around this and let me know...
This is amazing! Thanks for putting this up, I’ll use it with my co-founders for sure :) Time to make a great meeting even greater!
Congrats team Meeting Guidelines on the launch. Super excited to try the product.
Congratulations team! Many startups will love Meeting Guidelines to manage efficiently meetings
Congrats on your launch! Were you influenced by the Shopify meeting cost tracker when you were envisioning your product? One piece of feedback - the most exciting feature for me was the integration with google calendar - seeing the cost of the meeting and meeting guidelines right on the event entry. When I signed up for your product, I got lost in the dashboard and never ended up being able to experience that feature. I'm not sure what I need to do to integrate Guidelines into my calendar events - is that the chrome extension? Assuming that feature is enabled by the extension, my advice is to make that "the" prominent action in your onboarding flow. I would even consider making it mandatory for your users to install the extension before they even get access to the dashboard, and give them default meeting guidelines etc. Good luck today! If you're doing any user interviews, feel free to reach out because I think I would be a good prospect for you to talk to. Cheers, Max
Impressive work, Scalar team! Meeting Guidelines could be a game-changer for productivity and time management. Excited to see the impact it can have!
Wow, @roberjet great tool! A game-changer for managing meetings! The library is handy, and creating custom guidelines is a breeze. Any plans to integrate with other calendar platforms? This tool has seriously improved how we handle meetings. Great work!
The idea of a customizable Meeting Guidelines library is neat. It sounds like it could really help in keeping meetings focused and productive!
A little knowledge with practice is more beneficial than a lot of knowledge with little practice. The more you work, the more you live
This is so dope! I don't know if ya'll thought about this already but it would be really cool to have a context aware calculator to keep people on topic. There have been tons of times where people go off rambling and rambling about unrelated stuff when i'm just trying to get an answer (Some rambling is fine LOL). I don't know how you would set the parameters but like using the transcript of the meeting might provide some good insights!
