Years ago, my co-founder, Dat Tran, and I started trying to answer a simple question: how do we actually measure creativity? Not the portfolio, not the résumé. The process itself – how someone thinks, builds, gets stuck, and finds their way through.
We worked with some amazing researchers. Did a ton of assessments and data analysis just to land on our 7 creative processes, which we all cycle through on pretty much any project. We built many prototypes that didn't align with our vision, and I stepped back.
After stepping away for months, I came back to all of our research and old prototypes and tried to reimagine everything from scratch. And then it just clicked.
The result is OLIVER: a creative process app that maps your creative process and helps you finish what you start. At its core is the Process Wheel, a visual fingerprint of the 7 creative modes every maker cycles through. OLIVER identifies which ones define your process, supports your projects with nudges, and now includes an AI coach that already knows how you work before you say a word.
