Meanwhile does one thing: while your AI agent (Claude Code, Copilot CLI, VS Code) is working, your terminal status line shows one small, clearly labeled (sponsored) line — and splits what it earns with you, 50/50, automatically via PayPal.
The idea is simple: that idle time while you wait for your agent was always going to be monetized by someone. Every tool already tracks it, sells it, or just wastes it. We just decided to do it in the open, disclose it honestly, and actually cut the developer in instead of pretending it doesn't happen.
No dark patterns, no hidden data collection beyond the one line itself. One command to install (npx trymeanwhile), one line to remove if it's not for you.
