I built MDViewer because I was frustrated with how macOS handles Markdown. TextEdit can't render it. VS Code is overkill for reading a README. And Electron-based viewers take forever to open and eat your RAM.
MDViewer is a native SwiftUI app that does one thing well: open .md files instantly from Finder. Double-click or press Space for a full QuickLook preview — tables, code blocks, Mermaid diagrams, everything rendered.
But it grew beyond just viewing:
