Most baby trackers feel like data entry jobs. I built MBBY to change that. I’m a developer who believes tech should adapt to people, not the other way around. MBBY is a human-centric journal designed for sleep-deprived parents. Why it’s different: • Zero friction: A clean UI for one-handed use. • Smart Solids: Simplified tracking for starting food. • High-contrast: Made for 3 AM clarity. • Privacy-first: No ads, no data selling. Built for parents, not for screens.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Iulian, and I’m a tired parent. When our baby arrived, the sleep deprivation hit hard. We were trying to track everything—feeds, diapers, sleep—using a pen and paper stuck to the kitchen door. It was messy, we kept losing the pens, and honestly, when you're awake at 3 AM, you can barely remember your own name, let alone when the last nap started. I didn't want a complex medical app that asks for 50 details before you can even see the dashboard. I just wanted something that worked. So, I built mbby. A bit of a disclaimer: This is a web-only app for now, but I built it with a 'mobile-first' soul. We just added a shortcut to the home screen on our phones, and it feels just like a native app—no browser bars, no distractions. It’s light, fast, and doesn't eat up your phone's storage. It’s built on a few 'sanity-saving' principles: Zero friction: No intrusive setup. No ads. Just a simple email login and you’re in. The 'Grandma' Test: You can invite your family or a nanny. If grandma is watching the baby, she can log a feed, and it syncs instantly to your phone. At a glance: The home page shows you exactly what happened last—when was the last nap, which side did they nurse on, or how much they ate at lunch. The Essentials: Tracking for breastfeeding (left/right), bottles, and diapers, plus a clear system for Solids & Allergens. Growth & Milestones: A calendar for growth spurts, regressions, and leaps, so you know why they might be extra cranky today. Dark Mode: Because a bright white screen during a midnight feed is a crime against sleep. I built exactly what we needed during those first 12 months. It’s a work in progress, and while a native mobile app might be in the cards for the future, this web version has already replaced the messy papers on our fridge and made our lives so much easier. I'd love to hear your thoughts—especially from parents currently in the trenches. How are you keeping track of everything?

Who hunted MBBY?

MBBY was hunted by Iulian Buhus. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
