Hi! I'm a sports lover, and I probably spend way too much time watching my teams. That meant spending a lot of time checking and rechecking when and who they played against, juggling between different apps to do it. This was inconvenient and became time consuming. I tried keeping the games in my own calendar for the season, typing them in myself. But the entries kept needing to change: broadcasters reschedule games, and cup draws add new fixtures partway through the season. Every time that happened, I had to go back and fix it by hand. So I built Matchday. It streamlines all of that, keeping you up to date with all of your teams' games right from your own calendar. Not another app to check, just a calendar you subscribe to once. The games show up in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, wherever you already look every day, and they stay correct on their own. Here's how it works. You pick your teams and subscribe. If you mark a club "follow everywhere", its league games, domestic cups and European ties all land in the same feed, and new rounds get added automatically as soon as each draw is made. No more checking back to see who you play next. The rescheduling part matters more than people expect. As I write this, all four of Manchester United's October league games have moved off the usual Saturday 3pm slot because broadcasters picked them: two are now Sunday afternoons, one's a Saturday teatime, one's a Saturday lunchtime. November is still showing 3pm because those games have not been picked yet, and they will move too. If you had typed October into your calendar back in July, four of those entries would already be wrong, and nothing would have told you. A few things worth knowing: - International football (Nations League, friendlies) is free and needs no account at all, if you want to try it before deciding anything. - One club is free with just an email. More than that, or the NFL, NHL and NBA, is a paid tier with a 21-day trial (no payment information required). - Nothing to install. It is a standard calendar feed, so it works in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook, in English, 中文, Español and العربية. It started as a World Cup calendar and grew into club football once the tournament finished. Still small and still a side project, so feedback and club requests are genuinely welcome.

Who hunted Matchday?

Matchday was hunted by Péter Fehér. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
