For years I wanted to backtest my own trading ideas, and every attempt hit the same wall: trustworthy historical data was either expensive or patchy, and the free sources were quietly wrong in ways that only showed up after a backtest had already lied to me.
Dukascopy publishes a deep, tick-level archive, but getting exactly the instrument, timeframe and date range you need still meant scripting. MarketData Hub is the desktop app I built for that part. Pick an instrument and a range, and it downloads to CSV or JSON on your own machine. It resumes if your connection drops, and if any piece of the series could not be retrieved it says so instead of handing you a file that looks complete.
Nothing goes through my servers: your computer talks to Dukascopy directly. It's a one-time licence from €9, no subscription.
