MapMemoire is a personal travel map for recording the places you’ve visited, the places you want to visit, and the memories connected to them. Unlike traditional flat Mercator maps, MapMemoire presents the world as a globe. Rotate the Earth, explore different regions, and gradually build a map shaped by your own journeys. Search for cities and places, mark them as “Visited” or “Want to Visit,” and add the year, month, date, or your own custom time label.

Hey Product Hunt!

I'm the maker of MapMemoire, a personal globe for remembering where you've been and dreaming about where you'll go next.

I've always loved exploring maps and discovering places. But I've noticed that many travel apps focus on GPS tracking, counting countries, or collecting check-ins.

I wanted to build something a little different.

What if your travel map was shaped by your memories, rather than your location history?

That's the idea behind MapMemoire.

You can:

  • Mark places you've visited or want to visit on a beautiful globe.

  • Add dates and notes to remember when and why a place mattered.

  • Record multiple visits to the same location.

  • Look back at your journeys by year or month.

  • Explore offline maps and search for places without GPS tracking.

There's no need to prove you've been somewhere, and no requirement to have tracked your location at the time. You simply decide which places belong on your map.

For me, a travel map should be more than a collection of pins. It should be a personal record that grows with you over the years.

MapMemoire is now available on Android through Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mapmemoire.app

You can also visit the official MapMemoire website to learn more about the app, explore its features, and see what we're building:

I'm still refining the experience, and I'd love to hear what you think.

One question for the community: Would you prefer a travel map that automatically tracks every place you visit, or one where you choose the places and moments worth remembering?

Thanks for checking out MapMemoire!
