Hey everyone - I'm Akshay. I built Mapiq because Google My Maps exists, but it feels dated - and it didn't have the things I wanted. I also wanted something genuinely pretty. I'm a digital nomad, and I keep collections of places - cafes, neighborhoods, city by city. The list keeps growing, so Mapiq started as my own tool: pin places, attach notes, pics. A few things I care about: your collections are end-to-end encrypted - nobody sees them unless you share your space, not even the app host. It's collaborative - share a map and build it together, see each other on it. And it imports GeoJSON, KML, KMZ, GPX, TCX. It's not used by a lot of people - but random people from the internet find it from time to time, which I love. So I'm sharing it with the bigger community now. Cheers

Who hunted Mapiq?

Mapiq was hunted by uberakshay. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
