Hi Product Hunt! I made Mapache, a mind map and whiteboard app that runs on your own computer, with an MCP server built in so AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor…) can read and edit your boards while you watch. The idea: when an agent makes a plan, it should land on a board you can rearrange, not in a wall of text.
- Boards are plain JSON files in ~/.mapache: back them up or keep them in Git. No account.
- A small Node server (zero dependencies, no build step) serves the app and keeps open tabs in sync with Server-Sent Events. Edits from you and the agent are merged per node, item and field.
- 22 MCP tools (stdio or HTTP): mind maps, notes, shapes, tables, charts, connectors, comments and export. The agent can leave a comment instead of changing your work.
- Export to a single self-contained HTML page, PDF, PNG or SVG.
